About the Artist 

Soham had a passion for painting ever since his childhood. He began his formal art lessons at an art institute "Atelier-2" in Kupondol, Lalitpur in 1995 where he learned the basics of the painting and later in 1999 he completed his Intermediate Level in Fine Arts (IFA) from Lalit Kala Campus, Tribhuvan University. Greatly influenced by the art environment he served at Everest Art Gallery as Gallery Manager since its establishment in 1996. Since then the gallery has been providing platform to promote his artworks. Parallel to this, he was also involved in social work as a Child Rights Activist. After completion of postgraduate studies in Management and Sociology, he resumed his graduate studies in fine arts and is currently a BFA 3rd year student at Lalit Kala Campus. Throughout his art career, he has participated in a number of group exhibitions including installation and performance art lately. His works have been collected by a number of art lovers in many countries, mainly in the USA, UK, Japan, Australia and Korea.
